The CSA/Ulrich’s Serials Librarianship AwardFormerly (until 2006) the Bowker/Ulrich’s Serials Librarianship Award, this annual award was established in 1985 in recognition of distinguished and ongoing contributions to serials librarianship. The award is presented by the Serials Section Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) Division of the American Library Association (ALA) and sponsored by CSA. Recipients have been nominated by members of the library, serials, publisher, and vendor communities and selected through a rigorous ALCTS Serials Section vetting process. Qualified nominees demonstrate leadership in serials-related activities through their participation in professional associations, groups, and/or library education programs; make significant contributions to serials literature; and, in general, strive to enhance our comprehension of the serials world. The CSA/Ulrich's Serials Librarianship Award is a matter of great importance and pride among serials librarians, and CSA is proud of its ongoing sponsorship. |
